Sunday 10/18

We didn’t need to go early, so Tom asked for a haircut. We usually give him a haircut on Sunday mornings, which to me doesn’t seem like a Sunday thing to do. But somehow, there is never time in all the 6 previous days.

We got a lot done then suddenly it was time to leave. Sacrament meeting was good, but short. They had 2 of our 6 missionaries speak. They are darling and adorable and gave such good talks for sisters who look like they are 12 years old.

I was supposed to display my nativity on the table in front of the RS room where people can sign up for the crafts for our super Saturday, but there was no table there. So we put them on the table at the front of the RS room, which worked out well.

Sunday School was pretty good, then we had almost the same lesson in Relief Society, and it was really good. It’s so much easier to have good comments and conversations and feel the Spirit in the Relief Society room that all spread out in the chapel.

After Relief Society, I bagged my little nativity back up to bring back next week, then ran to the Primary room for choir practice. We had a good turnout and practice went well. We practiced the one we will sing next week, then the Thanksgiving one, then 2 of the Christmas ones. It was fun, at least for me.

When we got home, we had a quick snack and a quick nap, then I left for Stake Choir practice. I love singing the songs we are doing this year. We sang many of them last year, so I’m already familiar with them, but my voice kept getting tired fast and felt like it’s going to crack or burn up. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but it really hurt after a very short time. I would have to stop singing, then join back in when it relaxed a bit.

Each week someone is assigned to bring refreshments. This week a brother I don’t know brought containers of homemade ice cream! There were probably 5 different flavors! I ate some of mine on the way home and put the rest in the freezer.

Oh, and a friend of mine brought me a bag of persimmons! They are the kind you make cookies out of, so I have to wait for them to ripen a whole lot before I can use them. Then, I will be baking lots and lots of cookies.

Tom was on a phone call when I got home, so I put on my pajamas and washed my face and cleaned the kitchen before he was ready to talk. He was surprised to see me already in my pajamas when he didn’t even know I was home yet.

I had a lot of things to do on the computer before I was ready to relax. Because we installed a new router yesterday, now I have to re-configure everything that is connected to the internet and put in the new name and password. I can’t remember how to do that on the printer, so I spent a lot of time looking it up on the internet. It was very frustrating because it just wouldn’t work. It kept saying the printer was offline, but Tom could print. I’ve had this problem before with this printer so I’m thinking I might need a new printer. But I like it and don’t want to spend the money for a new one!

We watched Follow Him, which was REALLY good, then Don’t Miss This, which is always fun.
