Little Getaway with my honey

Image
I got to go with Tom to San Luis Obispo last week and spend one night and two days there. San Luis Obispo is very near the beach so the weather was beautiful. We got to go to the beach and almost see a whale migrating. It was a very fun little trip. As soon as we got there, we checked into the hotel that Tom's company provided for us. Course they didn't know we would be using the trip as a little getaway, and so they did not have that in mind when they chose the hotel. That said, I had a few little complaints with the hotel. The problem came when I got to the collar. Collars are hard enough when you have a pattern and instructions, so without either, and because the suit was going to be really dark,  I decided to take a collar and the little part under the collar off an old blue blouse I had that I didn't love so much. I also had an old skirt that I liked that I cut up to be a pattern. This is the 2nd time I've used it for a pattern. Then I took some of the fabric...
